Kyle started his career in the brokerage industry in 1996 and joined BB&T Scott & Stringfellow in 1997. Prior to BB&T Scott & Stringfellow, Kyle worked in Baltimore, Maryland, with Legg Mason and in Durham, North Carolina, with Merrill Lynch.
Kyle believes any good investment strategy is first and foremost based on a long-term financial plan with specific goals and revised annually. Investments should be carefully chosen to match the risk and return parameters laid out in the financial plan, not based on the current market.
Investments should also take into account a client's appropriate time horizon. Even broad market declines can be overcome with patience and the proper perspective. Finally, Kyle believes investments should be straight-forward and understandable. Any investment product that looks too good to be true probably is.
Kyle attended University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he earned a bachelor degree in business administration.
Kyle also attended a rigorous two-year program and final exam to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. CFP® practitioners agree to abide by the CFP® board's code of ethics, practice standards and continuing education requirements.
